Amazon Prime Video announced that the first season of its Bourne novels-based action thriller, ‘Treadstone’ would launch on the platform in January 2020.
‘Treadstone’ follows the origin and present of Operation Treadstone which, in the ‘Bourne’ universe is a CIA Black Ops secret program that uses behavior modification experiments to transform its recruits and volunteers into superhuman killers. The first season will follow secret sleeper agents around the world as they are awaken to conduct deadly missions.
The show will launch on USA Network on October 15 but Amazon Prime Video will allow international audiences to watch the show around the globe in over 200 countries and territories.
Prime Video revealed the first teaser for the series as well, which you can watch above. Treadstone will be available on Prime Video in 2020 in over 200 countries and will premiere in the U.S. on USA Network on October 15th. The TV show is also coming to Amazon Prime Video in Canada.
The show’s cast is headlined by Jeremy Irvine, Tracy Ifeachor, Omar Metwally, Brian J. Smith, Hyo Joo Han, Gabrielle Scharnitzky, Emilia Schüle, and Michelle Forbes. The show is produced by UCP, and Tim Kring serves and showrunner. Kring executive produces the show alongside Ben Smith, Jeffrey Weiner, and Dan Friedk.
