After the announcement of the slate of MCU Disney+ shows Marvel announced a few months ago we actually knew little of them. At last, Disney+ is letting us know a bit more.
Desmond Chiam and Miki Ishikawa will join Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as part of the cast of ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.’ The show will be directed by Kari Skogland.
The roles of both actors are yet undisclosed. We’ll have to wait some more time to know it, as the show is set to premiere in August 2020.
Mackie and Stan will reprise their roles as Falcon/Sam Wilson and The Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes. Both played their characters for the first time in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier.’ After that, they’ve been a major part of the MCU. They’ve both appeared in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ which put an end to phase 3 of the MCU. As we know, Captain America gave the shield to Falcon at the end of the film to go into retirement, and rumor has it that’ll be a significant factor in the show.
Chiam and Ishikawa join Daniel Bruhl, Emily VanCamp and Wyatt Russell in the Disney+ series. VanCamp will return as Sharon Carter/Agent 13 andBruhl will return as Baron Zemo. Russell will play John Walker/Super Patriot, a man who envies Captain America and becomes a government superhero and US agent.
Chaim starred in ‘Now Apocalypse’ on Starz and recurred in the second season of ‘The Shannara Chronicles’ of Paramount Network. Ishikawa portrayed Amy Yoshida in ‘The Terror: Infamy,’ a terror anthology series in AMC.
