‘The Mandalorian’ is, by far, the most successful Disney+ original series of the few that have aired so far, and is also one of the most successful (if not the most) shows of the fall season.
On Friday, Disney+ released the Season 1 finale and Jon Favreau, creator and showrunner of the series, confirmed what seemed obvious: the show will have a second season. But he also confirmed something that wasn’t so obvious: Season 2 will premiere in Fall 2020.

The series based on a bounty hunter on the Star Wars universe, premiered on Disney+ the same day the streaming platform launched, November 12. Some rumors indicate that some well-known characters from the main film saga will appear in the second season. However, the extent of their appearances is not known yet.
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as the Mandalore native bounty hunter. Mandalore is the home of Boba Fett and Jango Fett. along with Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte, Julia Jones, and Ming-Na Wen.
The Mandalorian was the first Disney+ original to premiere in the platform and the first live-action TV show to come from the Star Wars universe. The show was created by Jon Favreau, the director of Iron Man, and The Jungle Book and The Lion King live-action adaptations. He executive produces the show alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson.
