The first season of the much-expected Netflix show, ‘The Witcher,’ premiered on the streamer last Friday. The show is an adaptation of the book saga of the same name, which also gave us an incredible video game saga.
The show premiered to a ton of audience success and somewhat mixed, yet positive, reviews. The show was renewed for a second season even before it aired.
The first season showed us many of the classic characters of the saga, especially the three main: Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Princess Cirilla. THe official synopsis reads as follows, “Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.”
However, one of the best-known characters of the book saga only appeared in name in Season 1. We’re talking about Vesemir, an elderly witcher that trained and raised Geralt. The character appeared on a short cameo but we didn’t see much of his physique. And one name has been thrown into the possible portrayers: Mark Hamill. He tried to reach Netflix for it on his Twitter account:

I don’t know about you but since I watcher Hamill as Rey’s mentor in Star Wars Episode VIII, I think he’s perfect for such a role. However, he’s acting is better in a light-toned role, so I don’t really know if he’d be good for a laconic role. We’ll see how it goes.
